International award winning designer and author Jamie Durie started his design practice 19 years ago in February 1998. Since then he and his team at Durie Design have received over 33 international design awards including a gold medal at the Chelsea flower show in London and further gold medals received in Singapore, Tokyo, Auckland NZ, Melbourne, and Durie’s place of birth, Sydney.
In 2001 Durie made his debut into furniture design when he and his team were asked to design various pieces of custom furniture for several upmarket hotels and resorts first in Spain, with several more in Asia, Australia and the Middle East. After launching several design collaborations in Europe his furniture his furniture is now retailed worldwide.
His accolades in interior furniture design include an award received in December 2014 for the design of his Elle Ecrite Desk for Riva1920 and was followed by another for the Rainbow Modulare wall unit at the London Design Awards. In May 2014 he was awarded the New York Design Award for his interior dining chair titled, The Tubular Chair. The Bungalow Armchair in hand woven leather was also a finalist.
The design practice was born in the field of landscape architecture giving the firm the foundation of its design philosophy; a sophisticated blend of the natural form and clean-line geometry, affectionately titled RAW LUXURY. Durie Design has evolved today into a multi-disciplinary design practice in areas of architecture, interior architecture, landscape, and Durie’s greatest passion, furniture design.
Author of 11 best-selling books including Edible Garden Design – Aust & US editions, 100 Gardens, Jamie Durie’s The Outdoor Room, Outside with Jamie Durie, The Source Book Editions 1 & 2, Inspired, Outdoor Kids, The Outdoor Room and Patio—Garden Design). Jamie has recently launched his 12th book title, and his first one on interior design, LIVING DESIGN published in Australia by Penguin Lantern Books.
Jamie has hosted over 52 primetime design shows worldwide aired in over 90 countries, and has hosted The Outdoor Room, Green Home TV shows among many others since his debut as a regular celebrity designer guest for 4 years on the Oprah Winfrey show. His latest original TV series, “Outback Nation” started airing this April on the FYI network, where Durie transforms unruly outdoor spaces into backyard sanctuaries. His latest project, about to go into production is an interior/exterior design show designing for private home weddings titled “Love Grows”.
Jamie splits his time between his design studios in Sydney and Los Angeles, and continues to work with several hotels, resorts and commercial projects currently spanning 17 countries.
Nadine has been part of the Durie Design culture since it's inception. As Creative Director she works very closely alongside Principal, Jamie Durie, between JPD MEDIA, and DURIE DESIGN, overseeing all creative content, product development, production and brand direction.

Desmond is a Senior Landscape Architect from New Zealand working in the Sydney office. His experience in design ranges through high-end residential, commercial, mixed use communities, and large scale international developments.
With over 11 years of design and construction experience in New Zealand, Australia, USA and Malaysia, Desmond provides a comprehensive understanding of the design process, considering all elements to articulate well resolved design solutions.
Each design challenge is approached by assessing this information and further synthesizing key components to reach the best possible relationships between all considerations.
With a passion for spatial manipulation, Des uses a 3D analysis process to seek the best possible resolution.
These solutions are then expressed through clear graphic communication which is unique to each project.
David is a resourceful designer with over 18 years of Industrial Design experience across a diverse range of product and market categories including furniture, lighting, homewares, transport seating and interiors, medical devices, consumer electronics and accessories and IoT products.
While beginning his career in Australia, David has extensively worked abroad in both London and New York within studios and brands including PearsonLloyd, Tangerine, Native and Quirky.com for partners ranging in scale from small to global. While in London David gained his Masters Degree at the Royal College of Art studying under the direction of Ron Arad and Jurgen Bey.
Focused on creating meaningful moments through design, David is motivated by discovery through exploration and experimentation. His approach is balanced between investigation and craft and he thrives within the rigor of creating great products for use and manufacture.
