VEGEPOD is backyard farming…made easy!

Jamie Durie has always been an advocate for growing your own food right in your backyard or on your balcony and has written a whole book about it called Edible Garden Design. He explains, “…how disconnected many of us have become from our food, not knowing where it all comes from…Growing your own vegies, even if it’s just a few herbs, cherry tomatoes and rocket can be so empowering.”

The Vegepod is a self-watering container garden which can be easily assembled and with the addition of good quality potting mix, some seedlings and some water is all that’s required to get your edible garden growing.

Vegepod aired on Shark Tank on the 7th July and landed the resident red shark, Naomi Simson as an investor and with a third partner, Jamie Durie now on board as well, the Vegepod is ready to hit the market. “The Vegepod garden kits are the most efficient and practical on the market today”, says owner, Matt Harris.

The trio launched their partnership over a year ago.

Naomi says, as an investment opportunity the Vegepod ticked all the boxes, “Matt, the founder of Vegepod, is a guy who just gets things done. An inventor with a passion – but he has also picked a growing trend – home grown vegetables. Matt has solved so many problems with his product. His product evolution aligned with my view on growing trends towards raw food and healthy living.”
