Living Bouquets

There is no disputing that bouquets of flowers are beautiful things. Sadly their beauty is short-lived, as cut flowers will inevitably die. Even the most beautiful bouquet you will ever have—the one you carry with you down the aisle on your wedding day—will end up in the bin. Well, we are loving the idea of ‘living bouquets’.

Constructed from succulents, living bouquets are as ‘alive’ as a pot plant. And the most special thing about this idea is that the bouquet can be carefully pulled apart later and planted out into a pot as a keepsake from your wedding that will continue to grow and flourish.

Not getting married anytime soon? This idea can be applied around the home. Next time you are picking flowers for the house, try a branch of succulents such as Money Plant (Crassula ovata) in a clear vase. It will last for ages, and eventually grow visible roots, which look beautiful through the glass. It can then be planted in your garden.
