Jamie created Australian television ratings history as host of the popular lifestyle renovation program The Block, which sold to over 30 countries and was watched by millions of viewers around the world. The show featured four couples who moved into and renovated four identical apartments in the same block, with the purpose of auctioning all four renovated and fully-furnished apartments at the end of the 14-week series. With identical budgets, the couples were responsible for designing and organising their own renovations, tradespeople, real estate and marketing campaigns for a cash prize of $100,000.

 

The series ran for two seasons, with the first season set in the Sydney beachside suburb of Bondi and the second season set in the beachside suburb of Manly.
