Terms and Conditions

JAMIEDURIE.COM Book COMPETITION - CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry.
 
2. Entry is only open to JamieDurie.com members and persons who sign up as new JamieDurie.com members. Employees of the Promoter and its agencies associated with this promotion, and their immediate families, are ineligible.

3. How to enter:

(a) Existing JamieDurie.com members
• Log in to the members area to check and update your membership details
• Open the forum and click on the 'Competitions' square. Insert your entry by adding a reply to the 'Submit your entries here' post, describing in 50 words or less which episode of the Outdoor Room you enjoyed the most, and why. The fifth winner will be announced Friday 3rd May 2010. Good luck!

(b) New JamieDurie.com members
• Sign up to become a member by following the competition link prompts or by clicking on 'Become a member' on the home page.
• Open the forum and click on the 'Competitions' square. Insert your entry by adding a reply to the 'Submit your entries here' post, describing in 50 words or less which episode of the Outdoor Room you enjoyed the most, and why. The third winner will be announced Friday 12th March 2010. Good luck!

4. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry/ordering process or who submits an entry/order that is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry.

5. Promotion commences 19/1/2010. Final entry date will be posted in the forum. The fifth winner will be announced Friday 3rd May 2010, and entries will be judged on 03/05/2010 at JPD Media, Level 2 / 9 Waratah St, Mona Vale NSW Australia. Winners will be notified via email by 10/05/2010.

6. Promoter’s decision in relation to all aspects of the promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Entries will be judged on the following criteria:
- Creativity
- Persuasiveness
- Length (50 words or less)

7. Total prize value is up to AUD $150. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize values. Prizes (or any unused portion of a prize) are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.

8. If the winner of a prize is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the winner's nominated parent or guardian.

9. In the event that a prize is not available, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes, in their sole discretion, to the same and equal recommended retail value and/or specification subject to any written directions from the various lottery Departments.

10. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of taking any of the prizes, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. It is a condition of accepting a prize that winners may be required to sign a legal release, as determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.

11. The Promoter collects entrants’ personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. By entering the promotion, unless otherwise advised, each entrant also agrees that the Promoter may use this information, or disclose it to other organisations that may use it, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant, including sending the entrant electronic messages. Entrants’ personal information may be disclosed to Australian State and Territory lottery departments and winners’ names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation. All personal details of the entrants will be stored at the office of the Promoter. As per the relevant Privacy Legislation, a request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to that office.

12. Eligible Representatives consent to the Promoter using the Eligible Representative’s name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (incl. photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.

13. The Promoter reserves the right to conduct security verification checks at their absolute discretion. The prize winners may be required to sign a declaration confirming their eligibility to accept the prize.

14. The laws of NSW apply to this promotion to the exclusion of any other law. Eligible Representatives submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
